Application:

1. Zinc sulfate heptahydrate is used as an emetics in the pharmaceutical industry. It can also be used to prevent diseases in fruit tree nurseries and to make cables and zinc microfertilizer.

2. Food grade products of zinc sulfate heptahydrate can be used as nutritional supplements (zinc reinforcer), etc.

3. Zinc sulfate is a permitted food zinc fortifier. In China, it is stipulated that salt can be used for 500mg/kg. 113 ~ 318mg/kg in infant food; 130 ~ 250mg/kg in Chemicalbook dairy products; 80 ~ 160rag/kg in cereal and its products; 22.5 ~ 44mg/kg in liquid and milk drinks.

 
Production method:
 

Zinc was slowly added to dilute sulfuric acid with a relative density of 1.16, and the temperature was controlled at 80-90℃. After about 2h, the PH of the solution reached 5.1-5.4. After the reaction, the relative density was about 1.35. Then, a small amount of potassium permanganate lake bleach was added to make iron and manganese oxidize and precipitate. The slag was filtered and discarded, and the filtrate was put into the replacement bucket. A small amount of zinc powder was added and stirred at 75-90℃ for 40-50min to replace the heavy metal impurities such as copper, lead and chromium. After filtration, the filtrate was oxidized with a small amount of potassium permanganate or bleach powder to further remove a small amount of iron and manganese, and the zinc sulfate solution with a relative density of 1.28-1.32 was obtained through filtration. After cooling, the solution was crystallized in a crystallizing pot for 2-3 days. The crystallization was separated, and the finished product was dried at 40-50℃ after drying.
